The Department of state supervision in the field of education and science under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan in Dushanbe city composed of Agency for supervision in the field of education and science under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan  has been formed  compliance to the order of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan  dated 18^th of June 2020, №1557.   

  The Department of state supervision in the field of education and science under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan in Dushanbe city is included in the management plan of the Agency for supervision in the field of education and science under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and implements a unified policy of state supervision in preschool, general and extended educational institutions  having local status of the districts of Dushanbe city (Sino, Ismoili Somoni, Shohmansur, Firdavsi)  and in its activities is accountable to the director of the Agency for supervision in the field of education and science under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.

  The Department of the Agency in Dushanbe city in its activities is governed by the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan, statutory and regulatory enactments of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Regulation on the Agency for supervision in the field of education and science under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the present Regulation.

 The Department of the Agency in Dushanbe city with the purpose of implementing a unified policy of state supervision in the field of education supervises the execution of statutory and regulatory enactments and state educational standards  of  preschool, general and extended educational institutions in the districts of Dushanbe city, at the same time in the course of planning evaluates the organization of the educational process, the qualitative level of knowledge of foster-children, schoolchildren and other areas of activity of educational institutions.  

  The main powers of the department of the Agency in the city of  Dushanbe include:

- law enforcement and other statutory and regulatory enactments in the field of education in preschool, general and extended educational institutions in the districts of the city of Dushanbe;

- put forward a proposal on the activities of preschool, general and extended educational institutions,  having republican and special status in the districts of Dushanbe city to the director of the Agency for supervision in the field of education and science under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan; 

- according to plan conducts state attestation, accreditation of preschool, general and extended educational institutions in the districts of Dushanbe city;

- pursuant to  the consultative  decision of the Agency in the city and  after its execution by the order of the Director of the Agency, it provides  preschool, general and extended educational institutions in the districts of Dushanbe city with a license for the right to pursuit  of  activities and  accreditation certificate for compliance with  the status of the institution;

- on issues relating to  its competence in accordance with the established procedure, hosts  conferences, seminars and consultative meetings, participates in educational and scientific measures at the level of Dushanbe city and the republic;

  The chief, managing the department of the Agency in the city of Dushanbe shall be appointed and discharged from the post by the director of the Agency for supervision in the field of education and science under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.   

  According to payroll and job description schedule of state administrative officers of state services there are one operating unit of the chief of the department, 4 senior specialists, 2 leading specialists and 2 specialists in the Department of the Agency in Dushanbe city, who shall be appointed and discharged from the post by the director of the Agency for supervision in the field of education and science under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.   

  Under the department of the Agency, there is a council consisting of 5 people, which is headed by the head of the department. The council consists of the head, the deputy head, and the main specialists of the Agency's management (2 people, including one secretary of the council) and one leading specialist.

  Funding for the department of the Agency is established at the expense of the republican budget, special funds and other funds not prohibited by the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan.
